QualiTech, Inc. recently announced that Barbara Sinnwell, the company’s purchasing manager, is retiring after a 45-year career.
Starting with just a handful of employees serving farms in the Midwest, Sinnwell helped the company grow to over 120 employees with a global presence in food and agriculture, according to a QualiTech press release.
"Barb helped QualiTech’s growth by building a foundation of teamwork, service, and love of community. Barb’s commitment to the success of QualiTech and its customers was evident to all who worked with her, as was Barb’s support of QualiTech’s hometown of Chaska and her hometown community of Nashua, Iowa," stated the release.
“Barb’s achievements and contributions were far-reaching both within QualiTech and extending to our suppliers and customers. She showed devotion and loyalty each and every day at QualiTech,” said QualiTech President Mike Hodgens. “While we are sorry to see her go, we are better individually and as a company to have worked with Barb. She developed an incredible team to carry on her legacy of excellence, and we look forward to catching up with Barb when she visits in the future. There will always be a place at our break room table for Barb.”
“Barb will be greatly missed and QualiTech will be a different company without her. Barb leaves a legacy of commitment and accomplishments that will live on well into the future. She has been a pillar of dependability for both QualiTech and the Ploen family for 45 years,” stated QualiTech CEO Cory Ploen. “It is with great respect and admiration that we send her off into her well-deserved retirement and thank her for all she did for QualiTech through the years.”
QualiTech will be hosting a lunch in Barb’s honor for employees to share their regards.
