Chanhassen High School held its ninth annual commencement ceremony Friday evening at Grace Church in Eden Prairie.

Commencement speaker Aleigha Penny-Ahlness spoke to her fellow seniors about their journey over the last four years.

“1,369 days ago, we entered into Chanhassen High School, but we are not the same people walking out,” she said. “This isn’t the end, this is only the beginning.”

Teacher Shane Fischer also remarked how the graduating class came together during their high school years. “Over the last four years, you did it together,” he said.
