Artistry Online: Sketch and Draw Your Pet: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20.Usually when we teach pet portrait classes we work from photos, but since we’re all spending a bit more time with our best (creature) friends these days, why don’t we learn to draw them live? Join us virtually as we go through some simple gesture drawing techniques designed to help you capture your pet’s personality either still or in motion.

Knight Training — “Take and Make”: Tuesday, June 23 through Friday, June 26. For ages 5+ years. Calling forth all those interested in becoming knights of the library. We will train and equip you with a shield and catapult and give you the tools to create your own heraldic crest. Kits that include everything you need to make this ‘Take and Make’ craft will be available Tuesday through Friday at all library locations while supplies last.
Family Stories into Memoir: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 24. Registration required. Whether you want to write down your memories for family members and friends or hope to publish a book-length memoir, come try your hand at writing exercises to spark your memory and tell your (hi)story! Learn from a Loft Literary Center Instructor and learn some of the tools writers employ in developing their craft. This is a two-part course series with the second course on Wednesday, July 8 at 6:30 p.m. Participants will be given a writing assignment to have ready for the second course.
