This is in response to "Home for history? Historical Society submits Village Hall proposal," (June 6).

I am very supportive of keepsakes from families in this community being made available to enjoy in this lovely old building.

I have had the opportunity to visit small museums in other communities. It is a tribute to a community when they curate items of intrinsic value and pass on the stories of the families who came before us.

This type of respect for individuals and for the history of a community overflows on us all, as we cultivate that appreciation for our neighbors and our heritage.

Chanhassen has a long history of families that exhibited strength, character and integrity and I admire those families and their stories of perseverance.

I am proud to call Chanhassen my home, and hope this community rallies to support a museum in the old Village Hall!
