I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who was involved in the recent Chaska City Council special election — especially the voters.

This special election was all about giving them the choice and they stood up for that. I realize that some feel with the low voter turnout, the election was disappointment. However, I’d say, in America, when we side with democracy, we always win.

For myself, this election was an inspirational opportunity to engage with citizens. I had a goal to walk through all of the Ward 2 neighborhoods and, with some help, knock on as many doors as possible.

I was able to introduce myself to residents and have the necessary conversations about the local issues that are so very important to them. This journey has given me a lot of perspective and knowledge to carry into City Council.

I am eager and ready to not only represent Ward 2, but all of Chaska. Thank you again for this awesome opportunity!
