International fitness franchise giant Snap Fitness, based in Chanhassen, celebrated its 15th anniversary on March 29.
Snap Fitness began as an idea to create efficient, convenient, and affordable gyms that appealed to everyone from rural areas of the country to major cities, according to a press release.
In 2004, Snap Fitness began franchising and has since grown to over 2,000-plus locations open or under a development schedule in 20-plus countries around the world.
“We’re proud to celebrate 15 great years at Snap Fitness,” stated Chief Operating Officer Tom Welter, in a press release. “Our continued success wouldn’t have been possible without amazing employees, hardworking franchise owners, and countless inspiring and dedicated members along the way.”
While many workout fads have come and gone, Snap Fitness has continued to thrive and grow in the ever-changing fitness industry.
In recent years, Snap Fitness’ parent company Lift Brands has expanded its fitness offerings with the additions of 9Round International Franchise, YogaFit Studios Franchise, Steele Fitness, and Fitness On Demand.
“I’m excited for what the next 15 years holds for Snap Fitness,” said Welter. “One thing is for certain, we will continue to evolve, innovate, and deliver the most rewarding fitness experience in the world.”
