With strong pitching, new youth and a manager celebrating his anniversary with the team, the Chaska Cubs are playing winning baseball in the weeks leading up to the postseason.

Owning a 19-6 overall record and sitting atop Section 3B with a 9-1 record, the Cubs look like they could be a competitive team in the Class B Amateur baseball playoffs come the end of July. Chaska has won 16 or its last 19 games and has broken into the Minnesota Baseball Association Class B top 10 rankings at no. 6.
