Carver County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation, in partnership with the cities of Victoria, Chaska, and Chanhassen have initiated a study, called the Arboretum Area Transportation Plan, to plan for current and future transportation needs on Highway 5, Rolling Acres Road, Bavaria Road, Highway 41 and West 82nd Street.
The purpose of this effort is to develop an area-wide transportation vision to address roadway safety, traffic management, pedestrian and bicycle connections, transit needs, environmental considerations, and phasing plans, according to a press release.
As part of the project, drone flights will take place in late April and early May to collect survey and engineering data along the project roadway corridors.
Public involvement is essential to the project, and the project team will offer multiple opportunities to provide input. To learn more, sign up for project updates, and find opportunities to provide input, visit co.carver.mn.us/ArboretumAreaTransportationPlan.
The project contact is Angie Stenson, senior transportation planner for Carver County. She can be reached at 952-466-5200 or email@example.com.
