Mike Lindell, MyPillow founder, is moving his company’s headquarters to Chaska. The company manufactures its products in Shakopee.

MyPillow headquarters is moving to Chaska.

Administrative offices for the popular pillow manufacturer were moving earlier this week.

The call center has already switched its operations from 950 Lake Drive in Chanhassen to 343 East 82nd Street in Chaska. The building is at the southeast corner of Highway 41 and 82nd Street.

“It’s nice to be back where I grew up,” said MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell, a 1979 Chaska High School graduate.

The lease was up at the Chanhassen location, and the new site is “more efficient than where we were,” Lindell said.

There are 125-150 employees at the office, mostly in the customer call center, said Lindell on Monday morning, as he prepared to move his office.

This is the 10th anniversary of MyPillow, said Lindell, who previously owned a group of bars in Carver County. He sold the bars and mortgaged his house to start the company. In 2011, he started airing infomercials for his business, and it grew from 10 employees to 500 employees in two months, Lindell said. The company still employs about 500 workers, he said.

The pillows were made in Carver from 2004 until 2012, when the manufacturing moved to Shakopee. To date, the company has sold over six million pillows, Lindell said.

The new Chaska location will have a MyPillow store where customers can buy right from the company, Lindell said.
