Lakeview Clinic, with a location in Chaska, has two new doctors.

Dr. Elizabeth Hopfenspirger will provide on-site psychiatric care alongside Lakeview providers and staff.

“Patients and family members won’t have to leave their familiar clinic setting in order to receive psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. Being embedded within the clinic will allow Dr. Hopfenspirger the unique privilege of working directly with primary care and specialty providers to ensure comprehensive care for all patients,” a press release stated.

Hopfenspirger has worked in several nursing and advanced practice nursing specialties, including psychiatry, family practice and cardiology, since 2004. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree for Family Nurse Practitioner from St. Louis University in 2012 and went on to receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree for Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Minnesota in 2014.

Dr. Abigail Elliott also recently started at Lakeview Clinic.

She has an M.D. in family medicine and will be seeing patients in the Waconia and Norwood Young America offices.

Elliott grew up in Forest Lake and earned her undergraduate degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, and went to medical school at UMD.

During her third year of medical school, she worked with Lakeview Clinic for nine months through the school’s RPAP program. She completed her Family Medicine residency through the St. Joseph’s Program and served as one of their chief residents, according to a press release.

“Dr. Elliott is thrilled to return to Waconia to practice medicine. She provides full-spectrum care with special interests in women’s health and mental health,” a release stated.
