Shop 501 & Company

Shop 501 & Company is moving back to its original location at 501 North Chestnut Street, Chaska.

Shop 501 & Company is moving, but not too far.

The business is moving back to its original location, just a few feet away, at 501 North Chestnut Street in Chaska. The move will take effect Feb. 1.

“For the first time in the shop’s history we will have a building with a space designed for us instead of utilizing a building that was rented ‘as is’” stated Sara Smith, one of the owners, in a press release.

The 100-year-old building has been taken down to the studs and the floor plan has been completely opened up, according to the press release. The new space will feature more and larger windows, open rafters on the ceiling, new lighting, wood floors and a patio for outside displays.

“Our current building has served us well but we are so pleased to have the opportunity to move back to our original Shop 501 space with all the improvements that are being made,” stated co-owner Suzanne Thiesfeld.

Shop 501 & Company was originally founded as Shop 501 in 2013. The store features a vintage and creative collaboration that includes four original partners and eight additional vendors.

The business will retain its name and continue to be open 10 a.m.-5:01 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday 10-5:01; and noon-4 p.m., Sunday.
