The Chaska Speech Team recently had a busy week.
Jeremiah Cox qualified for the NSDA National Tournament in Dallas on March 12. Cox is the fourth Chaska High School student in team history to qualify for the NDSA.
And, at the Roseville "Rosebowl" Invitational Tournament, the team's last regular season tournament, Chaska Speech had four entries advancing to the final round from the semifinal round, the most in recent history. The team finished in ninth place, out of 22 teams.
"The team continues to be extremely proud of its success, and as Jeremiah heads to nationals he has a whole team behind him. This season has been all about lifting one another up, celebrating accomplishments, and focusing on the importance of teamwork. This team has really become a family, and this family could not be more proud of themselves and each other," stated a press release.
March 21, the team will head to Mankato East High School to compete in subsections. The top nine finishers at subsections will advance to the Section 2AA tournament on April 6.
