The Jordan river crossing will close this week if the Minnesota River reaches the latest flood forecast level.
According to the National Weather Service, the bridge at Scott County Road 9/Carver County Road 11 closes at 26.7 feet. The river is expected to surpass that level by Friday.
The river is currently about 21 feet at the Minnesota River gauge in Jordan, and forecast to reach 26.8 feet by next Friday, and 27.4 by next Saturday. (The river was about 8.5 feet last Wednesday.)
The Highway 41 crossing, just south of downtown Chaska, closes when the river reaches about 29.5 feet.
Keep posted for updates.
