Chaska Downtown Farmers Market

The Chaska Downtown Farmers Market is moving to Chaska City Hall in 2019.

The Chaska Downtown Farmers Market opens 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at a new location this summer.

With construction on Walnut Street, the Farmers Market will move to the City Hall parking lot and plaza area, according to the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, which operates the market.

"We had a collaborative conversation with the city, downtown business alliance and vendors. We determined this was a good option for public safety and it allows us to showcase more downtown businesses," stated SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce and Chamber President Jeff Filipek, in a press release.

"We expect to see continued growth in vendors and visitors this summer. We’ve added more vendors; the POP program for youth ages 4-12 continues to grow; and you’ll see a lot more music, bouncy houses and kid’s activities this summer," Filipek stated. "Several local businesses, the historical society and library will also have things going on.”

The City Hall parking lot will close at noon Wednesday, from June 19 to Sept. 11 (no market on July 3).
