Southwest Christian finished the 2019 schedule with 14 wins, eliminated in the fourth round of the Section 5AA playoffs to Providence Academy May 30.

Providence Academy scored eight runs in the second inning, erasing an early deficit, eliminating Southwest Christian from the Section 5AA baseball bracket in an 11-1 decision May 30 at Vollmer Field in Glencoe.

The Stars finished the season with a 14-7-1 record.

Held to four hits for the game, Nick Forar, the walk-off hero on May 29, collected half of them for Southwest Christian.

Outside of the one inning, Henry Hunt, starting pitcher for the Stars, was solid, throw three shutout frames with a strikeout.

Providence Academy scored three runs in the fifth inning to invoke the 10-run rule.

The Lions will face Maple Lake, a 6-5 winner over top seed Litchfield, at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3 at Vollmer Field in Glencoe.

Holy Family and host Glencoe-Silver Lake will meet in the winners bracket final at 7 p.m.
