Schram Haus

Schram Haus Brewery

The time is near, beer enthusiasts!

Schram Haus Brewery will open to the public on May 3, according to a spokesperson.

The building, which is located at 3700 Chaska Blvd., previously housed the Carver County Public Works Department and has gone through substantial renovations.

Owner Aaron Schram also owns Schram Vineyards Winery & Brewery in Laketown Township.

Schram has previously said the brews will be unique to Chaska. There will be a variety of drinks, from German inspired beers to IPAs.

“Schram Haus Brewery will offer a variety of flagship and rotational craft brews such as Cane Fighter IPA and Brickyard Blonde — each aptly named after a piece of Chaska history,” a press release stated. “Patrons can expect to find German-inspired lagers, cask-aged ales, stouts, hefeweizens, and more unique and modern styles ranging from light and refreshing to dark and malty.”

A grand opening celebration will take place the weekend of May 31 with live music, food trucks and outdoor activities.

“We’d like to take these first few weeks in May to nail down our processes, operations, and space to ensure we have the best in class service for our grand opening and beyond,” owners Aaron and Ashley Schram said in the news release.

“While we’ll be open to the public on May 3, we’re going to hold off on scheduling live music and food trucks until our grand opening. We invite everyone out to experience our new brewery and to be a part of our first days, weeks and months operating as Chaska’s first brewery in over 60 years.”

Daily hours for the brewery after it opens on May 3 are:

  • Monday-Closed
  • Tuesday 4-9 p.m.
  • Wednesday 4-9 p.m.
  • Thursday 4-9 p.m.
  • Friday 12-10 p.m.
