Chaska Pastor Dean J. Seal invites the public to “Building Peace Storytelling Concert” at Shepherd of the Hill Church (145 Engler Boulevard) from 7-9 p.m. Friday Sept. 28.

Storyteller Carol McCormick will share tales and songs to inspire empathy, kindness and compassion, according to a press release. Seventh grader Sanya Pirani is the CEO and founder of the non-profit Sanya’s Hope for Children and will share her story.

The concert is a fundraiser for Sanya’s Hope for Children, which helps impoverished children with food, shelter, clothes, safety and education, according to the release. Organizers ask attendees bring $10 or a used musical instrument.

“The instruments are for Tabitha Kyambaad’s Pathways of Hope, a mission of Shepherd of the Hill. The instruments will be sent to kids in a Ugandan refugee camp,” the release states.
