Walleye Fishing 1

Anglers fish for walleye on Lake Mille Lacs. An app from RipaLip aims to help fishers learn more about their sport.

An Eden Prairie-based marine technology company has launched an app aimed to help anglers operate their marine electronics, according to a news release from RipaLip.

RipaLip, which makes marine electronics protection systems, launched the RipaLip University app last month at the Northwest Sportshow conference in Minneapolis.

The app will help anglers maneuver the various electronic systems that come with marine technology, the release said.

“Regardless of your expertise level, anglers rely on some type of marine electronics for navigation, fish and structure location,” David Janiszewski, the founder and owner of RipaLip, said in the release. “RipaLip University will end anglers’ frustration and now deliver peace-of-mind to anglers right there on the water, in the palm of their hands.”
