The Eden Prairie Walmart, 12195 Singletree Lane, has reopened after the Eden Prairie police and fire departments responded to a report of a bomb threat at the store on Monday June 4.

The Police Department reported on Twitter at 10:41 a.m. that crews were on scene in response to the threat. Police initially closed access to the parking lot for Walmart and Jake's City Grille and asked people to avoid the area including Singletree Lane and Regional Center Road.

Police reported on Twitter around 12 p.m. that access to Jake's City Grille was open and could be accessed from the driveway off of Singletree Lane and that customers could park in the lot closest to Jake's but the store remained closed.

The department announced at 1:37 p.m. that Eden Prairie officers, with the assistance of police dogs from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and Airport Police, that a sweep was conducted for explosive devices. Nothing suspicious was found and the Walmart was cleared to reopen for business, a post on Twitter said.

Police declined to release further details because of the ongoing investigation.
