Akram Osman will join Eden Prairie High School as its associate principal on July 1, the school district announced in an April 25 news release.

Osman was the associate principal at Metcalf Middle School in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Public Schools during this past school year and was the dean of students at Burnsville High School prior to that, the release says. He has also worked as a special education teacher and cultural liaison in Mankato Public Schools.

“We’re excited to have Akram join the Eden Prairie team,” Eden Prairie High School Principal Robb Virgin said in the release. “He is a strong instructional leader with outstanding relational skills and a commitment to our mission of inspiring each student.”

Osman has an Educational Specialist degree and Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
