All students should have required immunizations before the 2019-2020 school year begins, Eden Prairie Schools said in an email.

According to Minnesota law, incoming kindergartners should have the following vaccinations:

  • Five doses of DTap
  • Three doses of hepatitis B
  • Two doses of varicella or doctor-confirmed immunity
  • Four doses of polio
  • Two doses of MMR

Seventh-graders should have a tetanus-pertussis booster and a meningococcal vaccination as well, the email says. Verification of immunizations should be turned into the district by Sept. 3.

The email directs parents with questions about immunization requirements to call 952-975-7043, and to call 612-543-5555 or 952-563-8900 to make an appointment at a low- or no-cost clinic.
