A teacher at The International School of Minnesota in Eden Prairie will attend a summer fellowship at Ashland University in Ohio, according to a news release from the university.
Kimberly Schiller has taught at The International School for nearly 20 years and will be in the Master of Arts in American History and Government program at the university. Middle and high school teachers chosen for the fellowship take part in a week-long, graduate-level summer course for US history and government teachers.
“During their week at Ashbrook, the summer fellows study the ideas that motivated the people who have shaped our nation’s history by reading what these individuals said and wrote at the time,” said program director Chris Pascarella in the release.
The cost of tuition, room and board, and books are covered by the fellowship. Participants in the course earn two graduate credit hours from Ashland University.
The International School of Minnesota is at 6385 Beach Road, Eden Prairie, and educates students ages 3 to 18.
