Make Round Lake beautiful at park cleanup

Aeon for Ocean is hosting a park cleanup at Round Lake Park in Eden Prairie from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 8. June 8 is also World Oceans Day. Participants of all ages welcome at this free event and will be provided gloves, bags and supplies.

Aeon for Ocean is a kids-based nonprofit in Eden Prairie focused on environment and ocean conservation. It was started by now 8-year-old Aeon Bashir to help people inland understand why their actions matter to a healthier planet. It also promotes youth leadership with the Krill2Whale Ambassador program.

The group hosts multiple beach clean-up events at Eden Prairie lakes. Aeon and K2W ambassadors do educational events in Twin Cities schools and communities throughout the year to create awareness about ocean and environment conservation.
