State Fair at Staring Lake

People enjoy summer evenings at Staring Lake Amphitheater in Eden Prairie. This season Eden Prairie Players will present "State Fair" at Staring Lake beginning Friday, June 14.

Bring the family to Staring Lake for fun with the Eden Prairie players at "State Fair."

Set against the colorful backdrop of an American heartland tradition, “State Fair” travels with the Frake family as they leave behind the routine of the farm for three days of adventure at the annual Iowa State Fair. Mom and Pop have their hearts set on blue ribbons while their daughter and son find romance and heartbreak on the midway.

Set to the magical strains of an Academy Award-winning score and augmented by other titles from the Rodgers and Hammerstein songbook, “State Fair” is the kind of warm-hearted family entertainment only Rodgers and Hammerstein could deliver.

A free shuttle bus runs between the soccer fields parking lot and the amphitheater. Concessions are available, and you are also free to bring in your own food and drink.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday, June 14, and Saturday, June 15; 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, June 20-22; 6 p.m. Sundays, June 16 and June 23.

Shows are free, donations will be accepted before each performance. To learn more about the Eden Prairie Players and their performances, visit
