Lioness club donation

The Eden Prairie Lioness Club recently gave Eden Prairie High School the first installment of a $10,000 grant, according to a news release from the group.

The full $10,000 will be given over a three-year period and aims to help students achieve on college entrance exams, the release said. The Lioness Club presented the school with $3,000 to help students pay for ACT test preparation class at its meeting on March 7.

The club donates to a variety of local and national causes, including the Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation, the Minnesota Diabetes Fund and the Lions 5M5 Hearing Foundation, the release said.

The Eden Prairie Lioness Club is a women’s organization that sponsors annual events. It works with the Lions Club on Schooner Days and the Corn Feed, among other events. The proceeds are donated to national and local causes.
