Ben Sather finished second in the state pole vault competition, counting a personal-best 14-9.

On Saturday, the Eden Prairie High School boys track team cracked Class AA’s Top-10.

The Eagles scored 26 points and finished in 10th-place. Eleventh-place (Buffalo) finished with 24 points, 9th-place (Rochester Century) with 25 points.

Hopkins (78), Rosemount (76) and Wayzata (68) finished one, two and three.

Eden Prairie’s Ben Sather had his school’s best performance, placing second in the pole vault competition, clearing a personal-best 14-9.

Jake Derouin finished third in the 3200, clocking 9:17.53. Randy Williams finished sixth in the triple jump, counting 45-04. Xavier Watson finished eighth in the high jump competition, clearing 6-02.

Top-8 finishes earn All-State honors.

Gulled Abdi finished 15th in the 400 (51.37), Dylan Nduulu 14th in the long jump (19-04.75).

Note: All of Eden Prairie’s competitors are rising seniors.
