It’s game on with history at Scott County libraries this summer

School might be out for the season, but the learning and fun will continue all summer long at the library with Scott County Historical Society.

At the free “I’m Game!” history and crafts programs, learn about what people did for fun in the past and today, and why things changed. Make your own kite or hoop and stick game to take home. These programs are best for children aged 6 to 10 and their families. Funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage (Legacy) Amendment.

The schedule is: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at Shakopee Library; noon to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Prior Lake Library; 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20 at Jordan Library; 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at New Prague Library; 2 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at Elko New Market Library; 10:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 12 at Savage Library and 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16 at Belle Plaine Library.
