Kick-start your planting dreams at the Summer Garden Festival

Whether you are planning a garden that will be the envy of the neighborhood or just getting started with a few perennials, the upcoming Summer Garden Festival will be an opportunity to learn from some of the best gardeners in the area.

The free Summer Garden Festival presented by the Carver-Scott Extension Master Gardeners will be held rain or shine from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11.

Topics will include Foraging (finding edibles in the wild) and Unusual Plants for Containers and Spa Gardening (using herbs to make cleaning supplies and beauty boosters). Registration is not required. Bring a chair.

The Summer Garden Festival will be held at the Teaching Gardens at the Scott County Fairgrounds, 7151 190th St. West, Jordan.
