Enjoy the summer sun and join the Scott County Historical Society for its annual series of history bike tours.
The tour through Jordan will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13.
Each tour focuses on the unique environmental history of a Scott County town. Tours span between two and five miles and last approximately two hours with frequent stops for discussion and to compare the landscape of today to photographs from the past.
Participants must bring their own bikes and wear helmets. This tour is open to participants ages 10 and up. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tours are on the second Saturday of the month, in four different communities around the county.
Tours are free for SCHS members, $5 for non members. Register by calling Scott County Historical Society at 952-445-0378 or at scottcountyhistory.org.
Meet at Lagoon Park, 300 Park Drive, Jordan.
