“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

This is a wonderful quote from the author Charles Dickens, and this also reflects the times we live in today.

Let's start with the best of times.

Stock market records, wealth creation at all time high, resurgence in the U.S. economy, Deregulation allowing small businesses to flourish, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, record number of first-year judicial appointments. VA Accountability First Act to better take care of our veterans. I could go on but you get the point, if anybody NOT named Donald Trump had achievements like this they'd be considered a great president.

Let's look at the worst of times.

Trump is a racist, Trump is a homophobic, Trump hates women, Trump is the devil and people will die if he stays in office. I'll stop there because that's all they have, they couldn't give you a true specific if their life depended on it. They'll just parrot something they heard on network news.

Most of the anti-Trump crowd are very good people, they're just under-informed. They believe what's said on the nightly news, or from the intellectual elite professors who pollute the minds of our kids. There's a term these folks use called "gaslighting" that happens when you tell a lie often enough people start to actually believe it's true.

Let's look at three perfect examples:

  • The Covington high school kids wearing the MAGA hats in Washington, D.C. These racists white boys attacked a Native American chanting bad things. Because of the gaslighting from our so called news professionals, they received death threats and had their school temporarily closed because they feared for their lives. Then the truth comes out, these Covington kids did nothing wrong and it was the other parties involved that started it all. The problem is the actual truth of the story never gets reported so we still have people believing this lie. #gaslighting #HoaxHateCrime.
  • The Jordan High School basketball game. This was a pre-planned USA/red, white and blue theme night where a Trump MAGA flag was seen. So because some visitors think this was directed at them they get to call the people of Jordan racists, the media immediately jumps on the bandwagon. We know this was just a manufactured story to push the anti-Trump narrative. #gaslighting #HateHoaxCrime
  • The Jussie Smollett case in Chicago, where he was supposedly mugged by two Trump supporters yelling "This is MAGA country." Another rush to judgement by the Trump-hating politicians, celebrities and media. Now that this hoax has been revealed these same politicians, celebrities and media have gone dark and poor Jussie's gone into hiding. #gaslighting #HateHoaxCrime

The end of the quote from Charles Dickens that I started above says "It was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”

Everybody reading article this is entitled to their own opinion, that's what makes America so wonderful. Let this truly be the spring of hope, not the winter of despair. The fact is Trump now has a 52 percent approval rating from the Rasmusson poll, the highest rating yet for this president. So there are more people approving of Trump than against him, it's also a much higher approval rating than his predecessor had at his same point in time.

Stop believing what the empty suits are saying about Donald Trump, do your homework and think for yourselves. Then when you know the facts and you encounter these folks spewing venom about Trump you can hit them with the truth, watch their eyes glaze over like a robot on tilt. Facts are like kryptonite to these people, they'll resort to name calling, and that's when you know they've got nothing!

We have another presidential election in 2020 and for those who do not like Donald Trump, here's your chance to vote him out. Buyer beware, make sure you look at facts vs. feelings, every single candidate so far is in a race to the left. Not one of them is talking about how to grow the economy (your money), everyone is talking about how they'll tax big corporations and individuals (redistribute your money). The U.S. government took in a record amount of taxes last year, we don't have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem!

I'll try and end this article on a positive note because this country cannot continue to divide itself and be successful. There have been plenty of presidents where I've disagreed with them and their policies, but I've always respected the office. Gone are the days of left vs. right, now it's facts vs. feelings, leftism has become an emotion not a position.

I feel most of this is driven by biased media driving their anti-Trump agenda. Please google Lara Logan, she's the CBS News chief foreign affairs correspondent and just did an interview saying just that. She said people have to stop believing everything you hear and do your own homework. She mentions websites like Breitbart.com to get the complete picture. So please, do your homework!
