We want to let everyone know that there are two opportunities to express our Christian faith together at this year's observances of the National Day of Prayer in Jordan on Thursday, May 2.

The nationwide theme for 2019 is “Love One Another,” based upon the words of Jesus in John 13:34, which says, “Love one another. Just as I have loved you.”

The National Day of Prayer was started in 1952 by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Truman. This year there will be two observances, one in the morning and one in the evening.

The morning gathering will be at the Carasim Coffee Shop, 231 Broadway St., from 7-8 a.m. For more information, call 612-226-2236.

The evening gathering will be at Hope Lutheran, 201 Hope Ave., with a potluck meal at 6 p.m. and prayer service 6:45 p.m.  For more information, call 492-2099.

Please plan on attending in Jordan this year as we “Love one another” and pray together to the father in the powerful and wonderful name of His son Jesus!

All are welcome!
