The Jordan Police Department responded to the following calls:
MEDICAL: Police responded to a medical call at 3:56 p.m. on Fourth Street. A woman was transported to Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska for further evaluation.
BURGLARY: Police reported to the 400 block of Seville Drive to complete a burglary report at 7:26 p.m. and learned the location was also involved in a burglary case under investigation.
SUSPICIOUS: Police responded to the report of suspicious activity on Triangle Lane at 12:08 a.m. The caller reported three boys were hanging around a portable toilet and using a lighter to light an unknown object. The boys told police they were smoking cigarettes and using the bathroom. Police located no cigarettes on their person since they were thrown in the toilet. All three boys were out past curfew coming home from a concert in Minneapolis. Officers made contact with parents who were OK with them continuing home.
ASSAULT: Police responded to the River Valley Education Center at 9:40 a.m. on a report of a boy being aggressive and self-harming. The boy became aggressive with an officer after they tried speaking with him. The boy tried to pull away from the officer and bit them. The boy was transported to Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska by Ridgeview Ambulance Service.
SUSPICIOUS: Police responded to Second Street West for a report of a suspicious man at 8:03 p.m. Officers located the man on Triangle Lane. The man is known to officers and was advised of the complaint. Another man not involved in the incident was arrested on a warrant and transported to the Scott County Jail.
MISSING: Police were called to the River Valley Education Center at 8:28 p.m. on a report of a missing boy. The Jordan Fire Department assisted in the search for the boy, who was located a short time later when he returned home.
MEDICAL: An officer responded to a medical call at a residence in Valley Green Park at 10:56 a.m. Police assisted a woman who had fallen and injured her back. She was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee by Ridgeview Ambulance Service.
MEDICAL: Police responded to a medical call in Valley Green Park at 6:56 p.m. A man lost consciousness and fell three times. The man was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee by Fairview Ambulance.
PROPERTY DAMAGE: Police responded to Triangle Lane at 7:23 p.m. on a report of property damage. Police collected information for a report.
FIRE: Police responded to a grass fire at a residence in Valley Green Park at 7:56 p.m. Two suspects started a fire near a walking path and the fire quickly spread around a residence. The fire was put out before any property had been damaged. Information was collected for a report.
DWI: Police located a vehicle from a driving complaint on Highway 169 at 4:43 a.m. and stopped the vehicle near the intersection with Quaker Boulevard. The man driving the vehicle was arrested for driving while intoxicated, drug and firearm offenses.
DISTURBANCE: Police responded to Varner Street South for a domestic disturbance at 11:21 a.m. A man and woman were arguing and the woman did not want to return home with the man. Both parties confirmed independently that they were having a verbal argument with no threats or fear.
MEDICAL: Police responded to a medical call on Varner Street North at 9:51 p.m. A man was transported by Ridgeview Ambulance to St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
DWI: Police responded to Fourth Street at 10:31 for an accident. Police arrested a man for driving while intoxicated.
MISSING: An officer was approached by a man on Triangle Lane at 12:50 a.m. The man was concerned about his wife’s welfare as she had last been seen earlier in the day and should have returned by then. A KOPS alert was issued and the wife returned later. Police spoke to both parties and there were no further concerns.
THEFT: Police responded to a report of theft at a business on Second Street at 9:47 p.m. The reporting person said three men took items from the store. Police requested video surveillance.
DRUG: Police responded to a drug concern on Triangle Lane at 8:05 p.m. The reporting person found a broken glass pipe in the men’s restroom garbage can. She said the garbage cans aren’t emptied every day and she didn’t have any suspects. She told police she did not suspect any employees. Police destroyed the pipe at the Jordan Police Department.
