ORONO — Orono High School is partnering with the Jake Anderson Legacy Fund to host the sixth annual Jake Annual Leadership Symposium on May 22.

The annual event is meant to teach, motivate and inspire students while celebrating the life of Jake Anderson, an Orono High School student who died in 2013, according to a news release.

The keynote speaker for the symposium is Brandon Lee White, an author, speaker and “youth-mover.” He will talk about students taking ownership of who they are, what they want, and what is holding them back, the release says.

The event will be held at Orono High School, 795 Old Crystal Bay N., in Orono.
