Wayzata High School National Merit Scholar Semifinalists 

WAYZATA — Thirty-two students from Wayzata High School were named National Merit Scholar Semifinalists, according to a news release from Wayzata Public Schools.

Juniors in high school enter the National Merit Scholar Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, the release says. About 1.5 million juniors nation-wide take the test.

From the 16,000 semifinalists, around 15,000 will advance to the finalist level in February 2020. National Merit Scholarship winners will be selected from the finalists at the beginning of April 2020.
