MINNETONKA — Hennepin County is jumping into the environmental game by giving away a free year of organics recycling service to new customers in partnership with the city of Minnetonka, according to a June 6 news release.
Those who want to sign up must use Randy’s Environmental Services or Ark Disposal, the release said. People who are interested can contact their trash service provider to get it set up, and the city will pay for the service for a year for those who were accepted.
Only 100 spots were open on June 6.
The city of Minnetonka also has a limited supply of compostable bags and kitchen containers for residents to pick up for free at the Public Works office, 1152 Minnetonka Blvd.
