EXCELSIOR — Downtown Excelsior was turned into an art gallery over the weekend for Art on the Lake.

The 39th annual event featured more than 140 artists, live music, food, drinks, and new this year were Makers Events, which gave people the chance to see how a variety of different art is made.

The event, which is put on by the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce, was held on Water Street on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9. Art on the Lake was moved from its typical home on the Commons because the ground was too wet, the chamber said.
