WAYZATA — The first closure involving the replacement of the Highway 101/Central Avenue bridge over Highway 12 is coming this weekend.
The ramp from westbound Highway 12 to Gleason Lake/County Road 15 will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. Sunday, May 12, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 13, the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s website says.
Crews started working on the bridge in April. MnDOT says the bridge will be closed to all vehicles from Friday, June 28, through the fall.
The deteriorating bridge will be replaced and widened to accommodate left turn lanes.
All road closures are dependent on weather. The project’s website is www.dot.state.mn.us/metro/projects/hwy12andcountyroad101bridge/.
