MINNETONKA — The Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation received a donation from TCC, a Verizon wireless provider, on May 29 totaling $1,500, according to a news release.
The Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation is nonprofit that funds innovative technology, programs, materials and experiences in Minnetonka schools.
TCC is part of the parent company Round Room LLC — the nation’s largest Verizon Authorized Wireless Retailer, the release said. TCC opened a new store in Minnetonka on May 29 at 4913 County Road 101.
“We are excited to relocate in Minnetonka and provide support to the Minnetonka Foundation in their goal to fund innovative programs in their school system,” CEO of Round Room Scott Moorehead said in the release. “I am extremely grateful to all of the Minnesota residents who continue to support our presence in this great state.”
TCC is making ongoing investments in the local communities through the Culture of Good movement, including by donating supply packs to nearly 6,000 teachers across the U.S., the release says.
TCC also gives quarterly grants up to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations nominated by customers and employees and provides smartphones with data to at-risk members of the community who might not have other means of staying connected.
