Police lights

PLYMOUTH — A person was hit and killed in a pedestrian-train crash in Plymouth on Saturday, June 1, according to a news release from the Plymouth Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 19000 block of Highway 55 at 10 a.m., where they found the person’s body.

The person has not been identified.

The Hennepin County Crime Lab was called to process the scene, the release says. The Plymouth Police Department is working with the Medina Police Department and Canadian Pacific Railway to investigate the incident.

The location of the crash is approximately a half-mile from Wayzata High School.

The crash is being actively investigated, according to the news release.
