Minnesota River levels

River levels recorded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers show that the Minnesota River level dropped below minor flood stage on July 18. 

The Minnesota River level dropped below the minor flood stage mark on July 18, with water levels at 701 feet according to observations taken from a gage at Port Cargill by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 

The minor flood stage is declared at 702 feet. 

The river levels are expected to drop below 700 feet on July 21 and be around 697 feet by June 24. The level in Savage reached as high as 707 feet on June 30. 

Barges headed to Savage were held in St. Paul during the minor flood stage. According to Upper River Services, the barge traffic has now resumed.
