Career Fair

Attendees explore the Career and Job Fair at Prior Lake High School in 2016.

The Prior Lake-Savage Area School district is inviting job seekers of all ages to bring their elevator pitch and enthusiasm and snag a job at this year's Career and Job Fair, the district announced this week.

From 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in Prior Lake High School's campus commons, residents and students can rub elbows and make connections with local businesses. The event is free and open to the public, no suit or tie necessary.

The fair attracts about 400 participants each year as well as employers from across the metro area, according to a news release. Those who attend will receive a program listing each career path and employer and who's hiring.

This year, participants range from multinational companies like Amazon to hometown stores like Cal's Market and Garden Center. Professionals with backgrounds in education, finance, health, hospitality, engineering and government service industries will be in attendance.

The district encouraged attendees to talk informally about job duties, education and training and salary range with more than 50 business and community representatives expected.
