The Prior Lake-Save Area Schools board will review a third attendance boundary option at its May 6 study session after public response to the first two options, the district said Thursday.

The new option would redistrict neighborhoods from Spring Lake Regional Park to Highway 79, switching their school from Five Hawks Elementary School to Jeffers Pond Elementary School. Neighborhoods in a large stretch from the southern Prior Lake city limit to St. Catherine and McMahon lakes would switch from Grainwood Elementary School to Five Hawks.

The Carriage Hills neighborhood would remain as part of the Jeffers Pond attendance boundary, unlike in one of the other proposals.

The study session is set for 5:30 p.m. at the District Services Center, 4540 Tower Street SE. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the end of the meeting prior to the board's regular meeting at 7 p.m.

The board expects to vote on the elementary boundaries at its June 10 meeting. The new boundaries would go into effect in 2020.
