I have lived in Prior Lake in the same house since I moved here in 1977. Back then I loved snow as a Ski Club chaperone at Buck Hill and as a cross country skier at Cleary Lake Park and Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve.
Fast forward 46 years with Mother Nature and Father Time not on my side. Snow is no longer my good friend. Shoveling and snow blowing are hard work. Thank goodness for three younger men who live close by who see me struggling and volunteer (unasked!) to bail me out!

Because 2023 has been a record year for snow, as an example, the mounds of snow at the end of my driveway where it meets the street are big and high enough to hollow out and make snow B&B’s to rent out.
