A Prior Lake teenager was arrested following a March 12 shooting in a Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community neighborhood that caused no injuries, Interim Police Chief Booker Hodges said.

Kaleb Alexander Dedeker, 19, was being held Thursday in the Scott County Jail in connection with a drive-by shooting and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Hodges said officers were dispatched after 9 p.m. March 12 to the 3300 block of West Woodland Trail for a report of property damage. They arrived to find two gunshots had been fired into a house.

“It appears that a male and a female got into a verbal or physical confrontation,” Hodges said. The female then left, and a few minutes later a vehicle pulled into the driveway, the shots were fired and the vehicle left.

Hodges said the incident is still under investigation but police weren’t seeking anyone else in connection with it.
