The Prior Lake Jays were knocked from the unbeaten ranks June 9 in their first Section 3B standings game.

The Jays fell 4-0 at Chanhassen in River Valley League play. Prior Lake went into the contest off of a 17-6 home win June 7 over LeSueur in seven innings in RVL action.

Prior Lake (4-1 overall) was supposed to play at Burnsville in another Section 3B standings game June 11, but it was rained out. The Jays are in the Arlington Gaylord Miller High Life Invitational June 15-16.

Prior Lake is back home to Burnsville June 18 and at Shakopee June 21 in RVL games at 7:30 p.m.

In the loss to Chanhassen, Prior Lake had just two hits, singles from Corey Goodwin and Jonsey Buescher.

Bret Mitchell went three innings and took the loss, allowing four earned runs, while fanning three. Lawson Zenner pitched four scoreless innings, striking out four, while Brandt Broderick pitched one scoreless inning.

Against LeSueur, the Jays scored 12 runs in the third inning to lead 14-0.

Tommy Keating finished 4 for 5 with a double, triple, four RBIs and two runs scored to lead Prior Lake. Zac Repinski had a pair of doubles, finishing 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs.

Adam Cress also tripled and drove in a run. Ben Kelsey was 3 for 5 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Mitchell Goodwin had two RBIs, while Matt Cady and Jeff Butler each had one. Rob Frederick was 1 for 3 with three runs scored.

Cady got the win on the mound, working six innings and allowing two earned runs, while fanning eight. Mitchell Goodwin pitched a scoreless relief inning.
