The Prior Lake Jays had plenty of offense in their season opener May 24.

Mitch Goodwin homered and drove in three runs, while Jeff Butler finished 3 for 3 in the Jays' 9-6 victory over the Tri-City Sharks.

Prior Lake scored at least one run in six of eight innings. Butler also had a pair of RBIs and two runs scored, while Joe Loftus and Cody Kashmark each had two hits, a double and two runs scored.

Tommy Keating also doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Prior Lake, while Zac Repinski was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

TJ Larson got the win on the mound, striking out 12 in five shutout innings, allowing just one hit. Ben Koopman pitched 3 2/3 innings, giving two runs on three hits, while fanning five.

Zach Matthews pitched one-third of an inning, allowing four runs.

Prior Lake is back on the field June 2 versus Highland Park at 6 p.m. The Jays begin River Valley League action June 7 at home versus the Le Sueur Braves at 7:30 p.m.
