The Prior Lake Mudcats earned a split on the Dakota-Rice-Scott League diamond in back-to-back games.

The Mudcats fell 12-4 at New Market June 1 and responded with a 2-1 home victory over New Prague the next day.

Prior Lake (5-4 overall) is back in action with home games versus Shakopee and Montgomery June 5 and June 6 and 7:30 p.m.

In the win over New Prague, Prior Lake scratched out a run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth on a bases-loaded walk from Jake Lehrer to pull out the victory. 

The Mudcats had just four hits and three of them were doubles from Luke Weber, Cole Bjorge and Michael Walerius. Jerad Lehrer drove in Prior Lake's first run.

Isaac Saad got the win in relief, working three scoreless innings and allowing one hit, while fanning two. Topher Rose started and went six innings, giving up four hits and one run, while fanning five.

In the loss to New Market, it was a 4-4 game after four innings. The Muskies took over in the middle innings, scoring three runs in the fifth and two more in both the sixth and the seventh frames.

Jake Lehrer finished 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Prior Lake, while Bjorge and Justin Hackett each drove in a run. Johnny Houston finished 2 for 5 with two runs score, while Weber doubled and scored a run.

Lucas Pumper took the loss, working 5 1/3 innings and allowing six runs on nine hits with two strikeouts. Jake Lehrer pitched 2 2/3 innings, giving up two earned runs.
