Sky Oaks Elementary will receive $13,000 from the Education Minnesota Foundation for the Bounce and Thrive program.

Sky Oaks Elementary School's Bounce and Thrive program will receive a funding boost from the Education Minnesota Foundation, the district announced in a news release this week.

Sky Oaks won the Impact Grant in the amount of $13,100 to support the monthly evening program.

Bound and Thrive brings Sky Oaks families together for sharing meals, discussing relevant parenting topics and connecting families to resources though 360 Communities, a District 191 partner, according to the news release.

"We are excited to see our families continue to thrive as we connect, grow, and learn to bounce with whatever life brings our way,” said school psychologist Holly Schultz in a statement. “Bounce and Thrive will impact our school family by creating a welcoming environment for all to join in family togetherness."

The foundation said it hopes to promote the research, development and adoption of policies and practices that will become the basis for improvements to teaching and learning.
