Burnsville International Festival

Burnsville's International Festival will be held on July 20 from 3 - 9 p.m. at Nicollet Commons Park. Attendees can enjoy music, entertainment and food from around the globe. 

BURNSVILLE — All ages are invited to enjoy entertainment, art, food and music from around the world at Burnsville's International Festival on Saturday July 20, the city said in a news release. 

The celebration will be held 3-9 p.m. at Nicollet Commons Park. Admission is free with food available for purchase.

  • 5:20 p.m. Somali Museum Dance Troupe (Somalia)
  • 3:30 p.m. Mariachi Centenario de MN (Mexico)
  • 6 p.m. Jagoron (Bangladesh)
  • 6:40 p.m. High 48s (North American Bluegrass)
  • 7:15 p.m. Siama’s Congo Music (Congo)
  • 8:15 p.m. Alma Andina (South America)

The festival will also include cultural exhibits and a “Kid’s Village” with henna tattoos, face painting and more.

Our Many Faces art exhibit will also be on display in the Ames Center Gallery. An artists’ reception is planned for Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m., and will include free admission and appetizers. The exhibit will run from June 27 through August 1.

Raffle tickets are on sale for $10 each at Burnsville City Hall before and during the festival. Proceeds support the event, and participants need not be present to win. The grand prize is a roundtrip airline ticket to any of the 48 continental states.

The festival is sponsored by the Burnsville Lions Club, Minnesota State Arts Board, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, Collins Aerospace, Comcast, Firefly Credit Union and Burnsville.
