Police lights

The Savage Police Department responded to and provided summaries for the following incidents June 24-30. The Savage Pacer does not include a comprehensive list of calls to which the department responded. Crimes are included based on severity, impact on public safety and other factors.


June 28: Someone reported receiving counterfeit money in exchange for cash on the 4300 block of Highway 13 Frontage Road.


June 27: A 21-year-old Savage man was arrested in connection with fourth-degree DWI, speeding and failure to obey a traffic control device. His blood alcohol content registered at 0.15.

June 28: A 52-year-old Savage man was arrested in connection with fourth-degree DWI under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in a single lane after his BAC measured 0.15.

June 29: A 30-year-old Shakopee man was arrested in connection with second-degree DWI on the 14000 block of Highway 13 after a report that a man fell asleep in a drive-thru.


June 25: A resident reported an expected check never arrived on the 4500 block of Egan Drive after he was told by the sender that it had been cashed. The estimated loss is $1,150.


June 24: A resident on the 9300 block of Maggie Lane reported two house windows were damaged with an estimated loss of $1,000.

June 29: A mailbox was reported vandalized around the intersection of Walter’s Way and Connelly Parkway.


June 24: A resident reported the theft of items worth $628 from an unlocked vehicle overnight on the 13600 block of Glendale Trail.

June 25: A bicycle was reported stolen on the 39000 block of 141st Street.

June 24: A resident reported checks were stolen from his mailbox on the 4200 block of 126th Street, which someone then tried to cash in another city.

June 26: A wallet worth about $1,000 was reported stolen at a business on the 14100 block of Highway 13.

June 26: A business employee reported the theft of about $150 on the 7800 block of Connelly Parkway.
